Charitable Engagements

Making time to meet her deep calling, she has made and continues to contribute to community through charitable efforts that have included serving as pro-bono Board Director for Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT), Singapore’s leading English Theatre company over two terms (2010-2016);  fundraising as part of the committee for The British Theatre Playhouse’s Art for Charity (2016)’s staging of Noel Coward’s “The Vortex”, starring Jane Seymour, benefitting The Red Cross Society.

In 2009, she was a pioneering Big Sister in Beautiful People’s structured program for teens at risk within rehabilitative homes, with its core belief in “mentoring for life” in order to reintegrate and support the young women back into society.

Since 2008, she has been a part of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter (WWME) Outreach team, promoting programs that supports and sustains strong and happy marriages.

Speaking Engagements & Webinars

Ever ready to lend support where it can be of help. Suguna has been a pro-bono guest speaker and panellist on subjects close to her heart, including on leadership at INSEAD’s Asia Campus for MBA 17D orientation, and on creativity and empowerment at Lumas Singapore’s International Women’s Day VIP event, 2017.

In June 2019, at Open Circles Forum Bali, Indonesia, she facilitated a keynote conversation on “Consciousness and Kindness in Business” with Actress and Activist, Alicia Silverstone.

In 2019, she was also invited by The Channel Company United State’s office to deliver a keynote speech on Mentoring for Success at their Women of the Channel Summit in Singapore 2019.

The Core of Her Personal “Who”

An addict to the magic of words, She enjoys writing short stories and poetry since youth. She is now in the process of compiling her poems into a book of verse for publication. Some of her happiest moments are found during family-time, with her three children aged between 16 and 9. A yoga practitioner for over 35 years, she professes a long-standing love for wellness retreats around the world, finds joy in solitary walks in the Scottish highlands and bluebell spotting in the countryside. Armed with the curiosity of the cats she love, she has an irrepressible love for life-long learning.
